  I would like to thank Ami and his team for an excellent and fast job with the asbestos abatement they did on my fixer house. After finding asbestos vinyl flooring during my renovation, Ami responded right away and gave me a free estimate. His team was able to start within a few days, and was done in a timely manner. Thanks to them, my renovations were only delayed a few days. Other companies never even bothered to call me back. Ami was very honest and tried his best to save me money by advising which area with asbestos didn't necessarily need to be abated, and gave me tips on how to cover it up, but we decided to get rid of everything since we're planning to live at our house for many years. Ami's team did an excellent job with attention to detail and left my house clean. It was easy to communicate with Ami through text or call the whole time. He is a very friendly person and easy to work with. After the job was done, Ami followed up to make sure everything met my high standards, and offered to correct anything I was unhappy about. Fortunately, his company also takes credit cards, which was very convenient for this emergency that caught us off guard. I would definitely recommend Ami and his team for honest and throughout work.

Where you go into a situation (let's say, an air-conditioning repair - simple, straightforward, right??) -
.. and the Universe has other ideas about how the story will go.

For example... if that A/C repair yields unexpected damage in the walls and instead of a simple repair job - the A/C company cannot even move forward because BAM!! - you've got a pipe that's been leaking slowly and creating MOLD. Not just a little... but a whole 'deep-hidden-in-the-walls' situation that's gonna require some VERY expensive steps BEFORE you can even get back to fixing the A/C.

AMI was referred by another Elite Yelp reviewer- and despite having had a full day of insanity of his OWN - when he heard the scared, overwhelmed voice on the other end of the line - REROUTED his day to ensure he could stop by to expedite testing and remediation...

and a few things were VERY CLEAR:

AMI and his Team at HAZTEK care very much about people. They put customers first. Profit was not at all in play - in fact he started from a very conservative point and said that we would take it slow, and figure out what was needed slowly and with proper steps to ensure we kept damage (and cost) to a minumum.

AMI is incredibly honorable. I know how these companies can proceed... they've got innocent clients who just don't KNOW about the complexities - and a more greedy company can take great advantage of this at the customer's unknowing expense.
He told me the truth, took the time to explain the layers, and reassured me he would work hard to keep cost - and my anxiety - to a minimum.

AMI is incredibly knowledgable. He shared myths that are used to scare people about asbestos and mold, that are shared to hike pricing and damage, and also shared what WAS to be respected and mitigated immediately.

I am hardly an expert in construction, contractors, water damage, mold, and the steps needed to remediate... but after just one visit with AMI I learned a TON that helped us make the right decisions to get me back to whole.

When the time came to do the work, his team (led by JOSE and JESSE) were professional, kind, patient, and thorough. When scheduling allowed, over the week of the actual work, AMI HIMSELF would stop in to ensure things were in order and to ensure I was comfortable; to say that he and his Team went OUT OF THEIR WAY to ensure my comfort and mitigate anxiety would be a huge understatement... THEY WERE EXTRAORDINARY.

You will not find this in other companies - most were fine, certainly reputable - but this kind of TLC and going the extra mile ... just EXTRAORDINARY.

And the PRICING was incredibly competitive - got 4 quotes - and AMI's was the most competitive, EVEN WHEN ADDITIONAL WORK was warranted.

  Very responsive and knowledgeable. Eased our worries and gave us a quick estimate for removal of asbestos. We learned so much from our brief conversation. Ami was so nice and helpful and I cant speak more highly of our experience with HazTek Environmental.

  We had to get asbestos testing for a remodel and our drywall came back positive. We had three rooms with drywall, but samples were only taken from one so we were going to have to all three abated. Ami swooped in and gave us great advice to help us lower our abatement costs. We followed his advice and after a little more testing we only ended up having to get 1 room abated. On top of that Ami just gave us great overall advice on how to handle what can be a stressful process. I wish we had skipped the process of getting other bids and had just gone with Ami. He's the most down to earth straightforward guy in the business.
