I needed help with mold remediation and Ami called right away after I submitted a quote request. He was knowledgeable and answered all my questions while walking me through how the process would play out, and when I had additional questions he was always happy to pick up the phone. The price was also reasonable. His crew came out the next day and did a thorough job of cleaning up the mold and kept the work area clean. I would highly recommend.

  Used them for asbestos abatement. Smooth process and they walked me through every step. And most importantly, the worked passed final air clearance so my home is safe now.

I was referred to Ami and I'm so glad for that. After going through the testing process in preparation for an HVAC replacement we discovered my old house had asbestos and a LOT of it in the attic. It existed in such a way that required a 'procedure 5' cleanup - this being the most complex and scrutinized plan.

Ami called me back on a Friday afternoon just to connect and ask a few questions and answer a few of mine. I was quite anxious to hear back from him and I appreciated him going the extra mile to connect so close to the weekend. He indicated to me that he'd send a quote and encouraged me to seek others. He mentioned that he would likely be in the middle of the pack, but insisted his customer service and team would be superior to any other company.

I got three other quotes and Ami's assessment was correct, not the lowest and not the highest. Nevertheless, I selected Ami and HazTek because of the great reviews, the personal referral, and Ami's genuine and consistent communication. Neither he nor any other person connected to HazTek ever let me down, kept me waiting, or left me feeling uneasy. HazTek's customer service and work are indeed superior.

The team that showed up were incredible. They were professional, kind, and fast. I could not believe how much material was in my attic and was taken out in such a short time. This week I got the all clear to continue work in my attic. During the clearance my asbestos consultant remarked that I must have the cleanest attic on the block -- and I think he's absolutely right!

  First I would like to say that this review is long overdue. My saga began in September of 2021 when my wife and I decided to install vinyl flooring to replace our aging carpet.

Our home was built in 1971 so when the flooring contractor came to take measurements , it was found that there was asbestos tiles in our pantry and that this would need to be removed before installation of the flooring. I looked around for some remediators in the area and left messages on various voicemails.

Ami Azarkman from Haztek Environmental called minutes later and I explained my situation as it looked at that time. Rather than sell me on a full remediation job, he suggested ways place a barrier in this rather small area and simply not put flooring in that area since it was not visible unless you went into the pantry. Ami spent a great deal of time with me on the phone and answered all the questions I had at that time. What impressed me most was the fact that while he knew there was no money in this for him at this point, I never felt that he was rushing me and really took the time to help. As a business owner myself, I know time is money and wouldn't have blamed him for rushing me a bit...but that never happened.

Well, the saga continued as we found later that the entire bottom floor of our home completely covered in asbestos! So naturally, I called Ami back to have HazTek Environmental do the job. Ami came to our home and we really liked how relaxed he made us feel.

We truly felt we could trust this man and felt he had our best interest at heart. Of course, when you have to gut an entire floor of your home, your going to need other work done, as was our case as well. Ami let us know that he had a contractor he worked with that could work in tandem with his remediation crew. Given the level of trust we had built up to that point, we had no reason not to go with his contractor associate for the floor installation and all of the other things that need to get done after a remediation...and at what we feel was a very fair price to boot.

Ami, HazTek Environmental and his contractor made this rather involved job, go as smooth as silk and we are ecstatic about the workmanship in every part of the project.

For example... if that A/C repair yields unexpected damage in the walls and instead of a simple repair job - the A/C company cannot even move forward because BAM!! - you've got a pipe that's been leaking slowly and creating MOLD. Not just a little... but a whole 'deep-hidden-in-the-walls' situation that's gonna require some VERY expensive steps BEFORE you can even get back to fixing the A/C.

AMI was referred by another Elite Yelp reviewer- and despite having had a full day of insanity of his OWN - when he heard the scared, overwhelmed voice on the other end of the line - REROUTED his day to ensure he could stop by to expedite testing and remediation...

and a few things were VERY CLEAR:

AMI and his Team at HAZTEK care very much about people. They put customers first. Profit was not at all in play - in fact he started from a very conservative point and said that we would take it slow, and figure out what was needed slowly and with proper steps to ensure we kept damage (and cost) to a minumum.

AMI is incredibly honorable. I know how these companies can proceed... they've got innocent clients who just don't KNOW about the complexities - and a more greedy company can take great advantage of this at the customer's unknowing expense.
He told me the truth, took the time to explain the layers, and reassured me he would work hard to keep cost - and my anxiety - to a minimum.

AMI is incredibly knowledgable. He shared myths that are used to scare people about asbestos and mold, that are shared to hike pricing and damage, and also shared what WAS to be respected and mitigated immediately.

I am hardly an expert in construction, contractors, water damage, mold, and the steps needed to remediate... but after just one visit with AMI I learned a TON that helped us make the right decisions to get me back to whole.

When the time came to do the work, his team (led by JOSE and JESSE) were professional, kind, patient, and thorough. When scheduling allowed, over the week of the actual work, AMI HIMSELF would stop in to ensure things were in order and to ensure I was comfortable; to say that he and his Team went OUT OF THEIR WAY to ensure my comfort and mitigate anxiety would be a huge understatement... THEY WERE EXTRAORDINARY.

You will not find this in other companies - most were fine, certainly reputable - but this kind of TLC and going the extra mile ... just EXTRAORDINARY.

And the PRICING was incredibly competitive - got 4 quotes - and AMI's was the most competitive, EVEN WHEN ADDITIONAL WORK was warranted.

  Not too often you become friends with your asbestos guy. Iam in sales myself and can see right through care tactics specially when it comes to such sensitive topic where the health of your loved ones might be at stake.
